New Resources for ISO 9001:2026 and IA9100

As organizations prepare for the transition to ISO 9001:2026 and IA9100, SCB has developed a series of practical resources to help clients understand the changes, identify potential gaps, and begin planning for a successful transition.

The new guides outline transition priorities, expected audit findings, leadership considerations, and recommended actions organizations can take to strengthen readiness.

ISO 9001:2026 Transition Readiness Guide — A 10-phase transition roadmap focused on areas such as quality culture, ethical behavior, climate relevance, competence, and internal auditing.

IA9100 Transition Readiness Guide — Specific priorities including product safety, information protection, APQP, counterfeit-part prevention, and supply-chain controls.

What You Need to Know

Two Important Changes in ISO 14001:2026

ISO 14001:2026 places greater emphasis on how organizations evaluate environmental conditions and manage impacts across their value chains. Two key areas of change include more detailed consideration of environmental context — such as climate change, biodiversity, resource availability and pollution — and stronger lifecycle and supply-chain controls. Organizations may need to take a closer look at supplier performance, transportation impacts, packaging, recycled materials and end-of-life considerations. Reviewing these areas now can help organizations identify gaps and prepare for a smoother transition.

SCB is approved by ANAB to audit and certify organizations to ISO 14001:2026, including both initial certifications and transitions from ISO 14001:2015.

SCB Issues First AAC Certification Program Certificates

SCB has issued the first certificates under the Aluminum Anodizers Council (AAC) Certification Program, marking an important milestone for independent verification of anodized aluminum quality and performance. The program certifies facilities to IAPMO 428-2026, covering areas such as corrosion and abrasion resistance, oxide thickness, hardness, seal quality, and color. Developed by AAC and SCB, the certification gives manufacturers, specifiers, and purchasers greater confidence that anodizing facilities have been evaluated against established technical requirements.
