2022 IEEE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY,
SIGNAL & POWER INTEGRITY
Thank you to those who submitted a paper for presentation consideration at the 2022 IEEE International Symposium on EMC+SIPI in Spokane, WA from August 1-5. If you missed the deadline for submitting a paper, did you know you could still contribute your expertise to the Technical Program? One of the most popular parts of the Technical Program each year are the Workshops and Tutorials, Experiments and Demonstrations, and Abstract-Reviewed papers. These sessions are popular for authors as only power point slides are required (i.e. not a full paper) and popular for attendees since the content is practical and application oriented.

In the words of our Workshop and Tutorial Co-Chairs, John Maas and Flavia Grassi, “Do you have an idea for some new, cutting-edge Workshop or Tutorial material? Are you harboring some secret (or perhaps not-so-secret) desire to participate in or improve upon an ever-popular classic? The window of opportunity to submit proposals is now open through March 7, 2022!”

That’s right – you have until Monday, March 7 to submit a proposal for a Workshop, Tutorial, Experiment, Demonstration, and/or Abstract-Reviewed (short) paper.

In addition, NEW THIS YEAR, we invite proposals for “Ask the Experts” panels. These panels typically feature 3-5 experts who represent different areas of knowledge on a “hot” topic. Attendees bring their most pressing questions on the topic for the experts to answer. The interactive format provides a great educational opportunity for all attendees. Popular “Ask the Experts” panels at past symposia have addressed EMC related to Automotive, Wireless, and Aerospace topics. Proposals for “Ask the Experts” panels are also due on March 7.
If you have a presentation to contribute to a Workshop or Tutorial, please contact John and Flavia immediately as they may be able to add your content to a session that would benefit from your participation. If you would like to be considered as a speaker on an “Ask the Experts” panel, please contact us at symposiuminfo@emcss.org.
Proposals for Workshops, Tutorials, Experiments, Demonstrations, and “Ask the Experts” panels can be submitted using our portal:
www.emc-sipi2022.abstractcentral.com through Monday, March 7, 2022.

Please note the key dates below and plan your timely submission!

Thank you in advance for your contribution(s) to the Technical Program.

Sincerely,
Frank Leferink

WELCOME TO SPOKANE, WASHINGTON!
Spokane is a sprawling city of technology, education, and beautiful geological wonders. Industries such as cloud-based software development, telecommunications, mining, waterpower plants, as well as agriculture support Spokane’s growing economy and flow of business. With the Spokane River as a centerpiece, there are countless parks and recreational areas to explore, not to mention the second largest urban waterfall in the United States located in historic downtown.

Check out over 20 local wineries, tour the esteemed Gonzaga University with its Smart Antenna and Radio Laboratory, or take a gondola ride across the Spokane Falls. Named “One of the Top 12 Scenic Cable Rides in the World” in 2013 by Conde Nast Traveler, Daily Traveller, and MSN, the Numerica SkyRide gondola offers spectacular views of the falls as well as art deco City Hall, then gradually drops down 200 feet over the Huntington Park Natural Area.
