March has brought a welcome change from freezing February, and we are seeing the first buds on our trees and shrubs. Spring is coming!
And Martin Black is here! Through Sunday. We have spaces for auditors (and possibly riders on some days), so get in touch right away if you’d like to watch and learn from this master horseman. He started with horsemanship in the arena on Wednesday, and cow working will be on Saturday and Sunday. The schedule will be adjusted for weather and other considerations.
We have a new hoof care video that I think lots of folks will appreciate. Last month’s Feet First Hoof Care class was a really rich one, with lots of topics for discussion and demonstration. I was glad to catch this one, Jerry described rebalancing a horse whose feet were high in the heel, yet needed to grow more before trimming to the ideal hoof angle.
We’ll no doubt have lots to share next month, but in the meantime, enjoy our newsletter and have a great month!
Yours in good health and horsemanship,
Mary Gallagher
