We've given a great deal of thought as to whether or not we should open as planned during this national pandemic crisis we all find ourselves in the midst of today. As it currently stands, we believe that we, as well as our business, pose a low risk that can help with the quality of life and well being of our community. We hope we can remain a bright spot, “your happy place”, during this dark time.
We plan on being as diligent as we can in helping to ensure we, as well as our visitors, remain low risk by offering such things as hand sanitizer and reminding everyone to use it after handling questionable items such as paper money. We also encourage everyone to always carry your own pen to use so that you aren't using one that an infected person may have just used. We will gladly provide you with a pen that has not been used by someone else, which you may then keep.
Our current understanding is that the virus can live on surfaces for up to 3 days. When we open, all items in the shop will have been in place for at least that period of time coming in contact with only us. Many items we receive take much longer than the 3 days to get to us, so even if they had come in contact with an infected individual, we believe the virus to be non-existent by the time we receive the products.
We also ask, in the interest of public safety, that if you are symptomatic, have come in contact with anyone traveling abroad, have recently traveled abroad yourself or feel you are at high risk, please use common sense and avoid public areas.
We are willing to help any way we can. If you are among the aforementioned groups, but find you’re in need of a gift or something to lift your own spirits, send us an email or give us a call and we'll try our best to meet your needs.
