2025 Vermont Landmark College - Summer Institute for Educators

Principal Kelsey Garrison and talented Winston teachers Kristen Edwards, Rachel McGrane, and Arelis Antonio participated in Landmark College’s Summer Institute for Educators.

This exceptional opportunity equipped them with additional skills and develop their practice in supporting and educating students who learn differently. They attended classes and workshops on many highly relevant topics such as understanding the ADHD brain, self-regulation and executive functioning, neurodivergence in learning, social pragmatics, scaffolding to support learning, innovative math frameworks, and so much more! We look forward to Kelsey, Kristen, Rachel, and Arelis sharing their insights during our professional development week and seeing the results with a further enriched student learning experience this fall.

Winston Wins at the San Diego County Fair! 🎨

We’re thrilled to share that 28 talented Winston students showcased their creativity at the 2025 San Diego County Fair. From colorful portraits to imaginative creatures, our students made a lasting impression!

🎉 A special shoutout to all the students who submitted their work and received recognition with first, second, and third place ribbons — what an incredible achievement!

👏 Heartfelt thanks to Heather and Ritter Schroeder for their efforts in coordinating and organizing this amazing opportunity for our students to shine at the fair!

We’re so proud of all our student artists for their courage, creativity, and brilliance. Way to go, Winston!

You’re Invited! ☀️🥪🪁

We’re excited to welcome Winston families back to campus for a relaxing and fun-filled Family Summer Picnic! Join us on Saturday, August 9, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for games, light refreshments, and a chance to connect with fellow families before the new school year begins.

Please let us know if you’ll be attending so we can plan accordingly. Light snacks and cool drinks will be provided. Families are encouraged to bring their own picnic-style lunch and a blanket or chairs to sit on.

This event is hosted by the Winston School Parent Association. We hope to see you there!
