October 2026

The Church dedicates this month especially to the Holy Rosary. This devotion is more than a repetition of prayers. As we move through each mystery, we share in the joy of the Annunciation and the Nativity, reflect on Christ's suffering, and rejoice in His Resurrection and the hope of eternal life.

The Rosary gives us a quiet place to listen. This October, perhaps we can make a renewed commitment to pray the Rosary—not only for ourselves, but also for our families, our Church, our communities, and for peace in the world.

We are dedicating our Fall Pledge Drive to Mary with the theme - "Mary, Lead Us to Jesus." We have special programming focusing on Our Lady. Please join us October 5 to 8.

This October, please pray that our fundraising efforts are successful.

God bless!

Fall Pledge Drive October 5-9

This month, Holy Family Radio is turning to Mary with a simple prayer and a heartfelt theme:

“Mary, Lead Us to Jesus.”

Mary’s whole life points us toward her Son. She invites us to trust in Jesus, to listen to His Word, and to draw closer to Him in prayer. In the same way, Holy Family Radio exists to help lead people to Jesus every day through Catholic radio.

For many of our listeners, WHYF AM 720 is more than a radio station. It is a companion in the car, a source of encouragement at home, a voice of prayer during difficult moments, and a reminder that we are never alone in our Catholic faith. But keeping Catholic radio on the air requires the generous support of our listeners.

Your financial gift helps provide the operating funds necessary to keep WHYF AM 720 broadcasting—covering the costs of programming, equipment, utilities, maintenance, technology, and the many other expenses required to keep our Catholic voice on the air.

Would you prayerfully consider making a financial gift to Holy Family Radio during our on-air Fall Pledge Drive?

Your gift helps sustain this apostolate and allows us to continue sharing the Catholic faith with our community. Giving is easy. You can call the station or donate online at our website.

Donate your vehicle to support Holy Family Radio

Holy Family Radio now has an easy-to-use program to alleviate all your woes in getting rid of ANY car, truck, RV, motorcycle, boat or trailer you have.  Our partner, Vehicles for Charity, can take it off your hands and Holy Family Radio will reward you with a tax benefit for the selling price of your donated vehicle!   It is fast, free, friendly and much better than a low cost trade-in or high repairs.  If you are thinking of selling or trading in that old car, why not donate it instead?  You can donate any vehicle from anywhere at anytime.  You will be free from ALL the paperwork from beginning to end.

It is simple... All you need to do is complete an online donation form on our website at 720WHYF.com or call Vehicles for Charity at 1-866-628-2277 and every detail will be handled for you. Please note that some restrictions may apply. Best of all, your donation makes a difference and will go a long way in helping Holy Family Radio in our mission of Nourishing our Catholic Family & Sharing Our Faith with Others.

October: The Holy Rosary

Major Feast: Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (October 7)

The Rosary is one of the most powerful forms of prayer that the Church gives to the faithful; popes, saints, even the Blessed Mother herself have spoken on the importance of praying the Rosary. Like Padre Pio who said: “Love the Madonna and pray the rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today. All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother.”

It’s a simple but profound way to meditate on the life of Jesus and to grow closer to Mary who will always lead us to her Son.
