It's Chalk the Walks Wednesday!
Hello - We are grateful the weather is cooperating for today's theme! So, get out your sidewalk chalk (if you have it) and get moving. Last year, we had an opportunity to chalk the walks at the Senior Center, some of the schools and other areas in town. This year, we can turn to our neighbors' driveways or sidewalks and brighten their day with the simple act of sharing uplifting words and drawings.

If you don't have chalk lying around the house, we have two suggestions: make a colorful sign with words of kindness and post it in a window or door for the outside world to see OR take a walk around and look at the chalk creations of others. It may be chilly out, but we are "hardy New Englanders" and this will warm our souls!

As you are "chalking," remember to smile, knowing that you are joining many others in connecting the community in kindness.

Feel free to share photos of your creations with us by emailing westboroughconnects@gmail.com or commenting on today's Facebook post ( @WCKindnessWeek ). If you share on FB, please be sure to tag us and use the hashtags #KindnessConnectsUs and #WCKindnessWeek2020 .

Thank you and enjoy!

This motivational kindness video entitled “How to Treat People is Who you Are!” is an empowering one. It might even give you a few ideas and quotes for your chalk designs today. Enjoy !
Everyone can appreciate the story “Extra Yarn” written by Mac Barnett and illustrated by Jon Klassen.   Listen to this tale that shows how magical kindness can be and how our acts of kindness can positively alter our community everyday. It reminds us that kindness is endless.
