Our Blue Table remains a hot spot in the store for anyone judging books by their covers and looking for a beachy ready. I just recently finished the semi-blue covered and entirely charming Villa Coco by Andrew Sean Greer. Our narrator is an aimless college graduate who takes a job with a nonagenarian Italian baronessa to catalog the contents of her home, Villa Coco, ranging from priceless art to countless bric a brac. What follows are enchanting misadventures and misunderstandings due to both the language and generational barriers. Light at heart but beautifully written with many contemplative moments, it scratched the itch for a carefree summer pick. We're still selling a ton of The Calamity Club, Whistler, and The Shampoo Effect!
Have a nice weekend,
Mallory
