A Message from the President

President Jim Morton

Dear Sea Devil Community,

CFCC has been bustling with events this spring, designed to engage students and connect them with meaningful employment opportunities and vital community resources. These gatherings offer more than just information; they create valuable interactions that can spark career ideas, open doors, and build confidence. It’s inspiring to see students taking the next steps toward their goals with support from local employers and service providers.

Career fairs focused on healthcare, marine technology, construction, and part-time employment brought industry professionals to campus, offering students and community members a direct connection to real-world opportunities. Our IT Career Discovery Fair opened doors for those interested in the fast-growing world of technology, from cybersecurity to programming.

We also welcomed the community to two important resource fairs, one supporting second chance employment and another recognizing Crime Victims’ Rights Week. These events highlighted the importance of inclusive opportunity and community support in helping individuals progress.

Our Spring Open House allowed future students and their families to tour our campuses, meet faculty, and learn more about CFCC's programs. Lastly, our annual Riverfront Boat Show showcased the impressive craftsmanship and training that our boat-building programs continue to preserve and grow as a part of our coastal industry.

Each event reflects our commitment to connecting students with the tools, skills, and relationships they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond. They also reinforce the vital role that CFCC plays in strengthening our regional workforce and building lasting partnerships across our community.
