Exciting News from The Integrity Path We’re excited to share four major milestones for The Integrity Path!
First, we are proud to announce that Gary Sinise has joined The Integrity Path as an advisor, bringing his extraordinary heart, leadership, and lifelong dedication to veterans and their families to our mission. Best known for his iconic role as Lieutenant Dan in Forrest Gump, Gary transformed that powerful portrayal into a lifelong commitment to service—founding the Gary Sinise Foundation, which builds smart homes for wounded heroes, supports Gold Star families, and uplifts service members through his Lt. Dan Band. His compassion and tireless advocacy have made him a national symbol of integrity, courage, and gratitude. Gary Sinise, continue to use his talents to make a real difference in the lives of others.

We are also honored to welcome Michael E. Thornton, Medal of Honor recipient and U.S. Navy SEAL (Ret.), as an advisor to The Integrity Path. A true American hero, Mike earned the Medal of Honor for his extraordinary bravery during a combat mission in Vietnam, where he risked his life under intense enemy fire to save his fellow SEAL and commanding officer, Lieutenant Tommy Norris—who was critically wounded and presumed dead. Mike’s heroic actions that day not only saved Tommy’s life but also exemplified the deepest meaning of brotherhood, sacrifice, and courage. Since his distinguished service, Mike has dedicated his life to supporting veterans, mentoring young leaders, and advancing the values of honor, integrity, and patriotism. His partnership with The Integrity Path strengthens our mission to inspire future generations through the same unwavering character that defines America’s greatest heroes.

In addition, we are proud to welcome Leroy Petry, Medal of Honor recipient and U.S. Army Ranger (Ret.), as an advisor to The Integrity Path. Leroy’s story is one of extraordinary courage and resilience. While serving in Afghanistan in 2008, he risked his life to save his fellow Rangers by picking up and throwing away an enemy grenade—an act that cost him his right hand but saved the lives of his teammates. For his incredible bravery and selflessness, he received the Medal of Honor from President Barack Obama in 2011. Since retiring from active duty, Leroy has become a passionate advocate for wounded warriors, veterans, and military families, sharing his message of perseverance, gratitude, and purpose. His strength, humility, and commitment to service perfectly embody The Integrity Path’s six core values—integrity, courage, sacrifice, commitment, citizenship, and patriotism—and we are honored to have him on our advisory team.

Equally exciting we welcome Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Pete Seitz to The Integrity Path Advisory Board. As President of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Pete has dedicated his career to supporting soldiers, veterans, and their families through education, advocacy, and community connection. His leadership and commitment to service perfectly align with The Integrity Path’s mission to inspire courage, integrity, and citizenship in future generations. We are grateful to have his experience and passion guiding our vision forward.

Gary Littrell spoke at MCON in Las Vegas, sharing The Integrity Path’s timeless message rooted in the six core values of the Medal of Honor — courage, commitment, sacrifice, citizenship, patriotism, and integrity. His powerful remarks highlighted how these values continue to shape the strength and character of today’s military, veterans, and families and how they can guide our nation’s youth as the next generation of leaders.
We were deeply inspired by our meeting with Jessica Vargas, a Marine veteran who served two deployments to Iraq (2003 and 2004). Together, we are exploring ways to connect families, veterans, and young people through the shared foundation of values that have carried our nation through its greatest challenges.
Value Connection: The Integrity Path views gatherings like MCON as opportunities to frame national dialogue through the lens of enduring values — lived daily by veterans, families, and youth — ensuring the next generation understands what courage, commitment, and citizenship truly mean.

Building Tomorrow’s Leaders: Army ROTC Leadership Training at UT
|
Army ROTC is one of the most respected leadership development programs in the nation, preparing students for success both in uniform and in civilian life. Through high-level training in leadership, management, communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving, cadets gain the skills and confidence needed to lead teams and make critical decisions under pressure.
As part of this mission, Medal of Honor recipients Gary Littrell and Joe Marm recently visited the University of Tennessee to speak with Army ROTC cadets about leadership in the military. Their discussion focused on the Six Core Values of the Medal of Honor — Courage, Commitment, Sacrifice, Integrity, Citizenship, and Patriotism — and how these values shape effective leaders both on and off the battlefield.
The session served as a powerful reminder that leadership is not only about authority, but about character, responsibility, and service — principles that continue to guide ROTC graduates throughout their careers.

| | “Six Core Values, One Brave Heart: The Story of Sgt. Ray E. Duke” | | |
In collaboration with the Medal of Honor Society’s Character Development Program, Suzanne Littrell visited two schools — The Brown Academy and The Redemption Point Christian Academy — to teach second graders about the six core values of the Medal of Honor: Courage, Commitment, Sacrifice, Integrity, Patriotism, and Citizenship.
At Brown Academy, Suzanne was joined by Cherie McCloughan, wife of Medal of Honor Recipient James McCloughan, while at Redemption Point she was joined by both Cherie and Christina Slabinski, wife of Medal of Honor Recipient Britt Slabinski. Together, they shared powerful stories of real-life heroes, including Sergeant First Class Ray E. Duke, who in the Korean War displayed extraordinary bravery when he ordered his men to leave him behind so they could reach safety.
Students at both schools explored how these values can guide their own choices through thoughtful discussion and an interactive STEM challenge. Working in teams, they designed and built stretchers capable of carrying a “wounded” potato — symbolizing how innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving might have helped rescue Duke.
Through storytelling and hands-on learning, the program not only brought history to life but also inspired students to embody courage, compassion, and integrity in their everyday lives and communities.

🇺🇸 MCON Medal of Honor Panel – Las Vegas 🇺🇸 Gary will join distinguished speakers at MCON 2025, one of the nation’s largest gatherings for military veterans, service members, and their families. With more than 6,000 attendees expected, MCON brings together the military community for four days of inspiration, connection, and purpose. Gary will share powerful stories of service, sacrifice, and leadership on the Medal of Honor Panel, reminding audiences that the call to serve doesn’t end on the battlefield — it continues in how we lead, support, and give back every day. | | | Next month, Gary and Suzanne Littrell will speak to approx. 200 JROTC cadets from Orange County about the six core values of the Medal of Honor. The event will take place aboard the historic and awe-inspiring Battleship USS Iowa, providing an unforgettable setting for this character-building experience. This Nov., the legendary Bob Hope Patriotic Hall in Los Angeles, CA will host a powerful and inspiring gathering of future leaders as Medal of Honor recipient CSM (Ret.) Gary Littrell takes the stage. Speaking to LAUSD JROTC cadets as well as cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Gary will share lessons on leadership, character, and the Six Core Values of the Medal of Honor — courage, commitment, sacrifice, integrity, citizenship, and patriotism.
This unique event brings together tomorrow’s military leaders, young men and women who represent the strength, discipline, and dedication of America’s future.

Next month, JROTC cadets from the Los Angeles Unified School District will help unfold one of the largest American flags in the United States across the field at the iconic Rose Bowl during halftime at the UCLA Bruins football game.
Before this powerful display, The Littrells will meet with the cadets to speak about the six core values that define the Medal of Honor, values such as courage, integrity, sacrifice, and service. These ideals serve as the foundation for the teamwork and unity that this monumental moment requires.
When the flag is unfurled on the field, cadets will be positioned all around its perimeter to ensure it remains elevated and never touches the ground, while other junior cadets underneath will help support it from the center. The sheer size of the flag calls for a coordinated effort, creating an inspiring display of patriotism, discipline, and collaboration.

We invite educators across the U.S. to connect with The Integrity Path and bring our program to their students. Led by Medal of Honor recipient Hall of Fame ARMY Ranger Gary Littrell and USC Volleyball Athlete, All-American-National Amature Surfing Champion, and former Hollywood stuntwoman Suzanne Littrell, we share the Six Core Values of the Medal of Honor—courage, commitment, sacrifice, integrity, citizenship, and patriotism—through real-life stories and interactive sessions, with no politics or glorification of war.
We’ve partnered with DOD STARBASE, LAUSD JROTC units, The Battleship Iowa, Post 283 and AUSA by combining STEM learning with character education. Students consistently tell us our visits help them rethink choices, build resilience, and discover their potential. See above video for one of many students thanking Gary Littrell for all he does.
