Hurricane Isaias - July 31, 2020
Dear Valued Client,
Tropical Storm Isaias became Hurricane Isaias overnight in the Caribbean. The 11am track has moved it slightly westward since yesterday, but still likely to not make landfall in Florida. Per our DR plan, we are having daily internal meetings to coordinate preparatory actions and will continue to do so through Monday.
As the models below show, Isaias slowed down somewhat and several watches and warnings have been issued for Daytona south to Key Largo. The Florida peninsula (especially the SE coast) will begin to experience higher wind and rain as early as Saturday morning that will remain through Monday morning more broadly across Florida and Georgia. At the current strength (Cat 1) and track, we do not expect the system to force any operational closures, but local delays could happen due to related conditions as it is now a Hurricane. These delays are more likely to be on Sunday for any deliveries going to destinations south of Daytona and east of I-4. Please check with us if you are placing orders to these areas on Sunday.
Also, please keep an eye on the storm (with the links below) for any westward wobble as any movement closer to the coast could expand the possibility of delivery delays.
