A NEW CHAPTER TOGETHER

It is an absolute honor to step into the role of President for NWAR.

Our installation dinner at Bootleggers was a fantastic evening - thank you to everyone who celebrated with us, to Tom Weber for installing our boards, and to all who helped our RPAC silent auction raise a record-breaking $6,786!

For those I haven’t met yet, this year marks my 30th year as a REALTOR®. While 24 of those years were spent in the Madison area, with 8 running my own brokerage, I served on many community boards and within Realtor organizations. In the past six years, my husband Doug and I have quickly made the Northwoods our home.

A huge thank-you to outgoing President Janel Pagels for her exceptional leadership. Her hard work, in partnership with our Board, to establish NWAR's Investment Portfolio will allow our organization to flourish for years to come.

I also want to extend a warm welcome to our incoming leadership team. I am thrilled to partner with GNMLS President Andrea Krueger, our dedicated NWAR Board of Directors, and both our incoming and outgoing leaders to provide you with the tools, data, and support you need to succeed.

Looking ahead, my vision for this year comes down to one word: Involvement

Within NWAR: Our association is only as strong as its members. I encourage you to bring your voice to our meetings, share your ideas, and join a committee this year.
Within our Community: We do more than sell homes; we build communities.

Together, we’ll strengthen our local advocacy, give back, and show the Northwoods the true impact of our REALTOR® network.

GET FAMILIAR: 2027 Practice Changes

The 2027 practice changes update Wisconsin's real estate practice requirements to increase transparency in how residential properties are marketed and sold. By incorporating key transparency requirements into Wisconsin law rather than leaving them solely to MLS or brokerage policies, the practice changes are designed to ensure buyers and sellers have clear and consistent information about marketing, compensation and the use of technology in property advertising.

To implement these changes, the WB forms used in Wisconsin real estate transactions were revised (with an optional use date of October 1, 2026, and a mandatory use date of January 1, 2027).

The WRA has created in-depth videos, FAQs and other helpful resources to make sure that you're prepared for the changes.

TRUNK or TREAT - CRANDON

Join your fellow REALTORS and community volunteers on for a fun & rewarding afternoon helping out Northwoods kids and their grocery-weary parents!

WHAT: Trunk or Treat (Crandon)

WHEN: Sunday, October 25th from 4-5:30pm

WHERE: Praise Chapel Community Church parking lot, Crandon

We're looking for volunteers to arrive around 2:30pm to help assemble & pack food totes. Or just plan on coming at 4pm to hand out the totes to deserving littles!

NWAR will treat volunteers to lunch before getting to the best part: sending a food tote home with every mini Mandalorian, pygmy princess & dinky Dracula! Please REGISTER so we can order enough for lunch.
