It appears that the City of Riviera Beach has sent a mailer to all addresses in the 33404 zip code announcing a new garbage trash and recycling pickup contractor. The letter says that all residents will be receiving a new blue garbage container and will be billed an additional $22.00 per month on your utility bill for "recycling fees."
This mailer DOES NOT apply to the Town of Palm Beach Shores in anyway. We have our own trash and recycling pickup (done by Waste Management under contract to the Town). And the cost of this pickup is covered by your taxes paid to the Town.
So, please disregard the letter and throw it in your trash can after you have had a laugh. However, watch your water bill and make sure that the additional $22.00 is not included in your bill.
