City Provides Feedback on Woodbury Site Plan

The City Planning Commission Working Group met on Wednesday, March 19 to review the Woodbury site plan. The Working Group gave the architects productive feedback on pedestrian and vehicle traffic patterns, parking and landscaping. The Working Group made recommendations on preserving the tree canopy and planting additional shade trees. Architects from GPD Group will present a revised site plan at the next Working Group meeting on April 24.

The construction fence is expected to be erected around the Woodbury building in mid-April. Abatement will continue through the end of April.

Ludlow Renovation Progress

The Ludlow renovation continues on-time and on-budget. Drywall installation is underway on the second floor of the building. Wire installation is also taking place, including wiring for internet and fire alarms. Plumbing work is also underway in select areas. At the Board of Education meeting on April 1, GPD Group architects will present an updated design of the Ludlow playground.

Take the Woodbury Traffic Survey

Teachers administered a traffic survey to students at Shaker Heights Middle School this week. A consultant is currently gathering information on traffic patterns for the Woodbury campus when it reopens as the Middle Years building. Parents of current Shaker Heights Middle School students may click here to take the survey.
