Keeping You Connected and Informed | | | |
A New ASTDD website is coming October 6!
A better way to navigate ASTDD
We’re making it easier to find what you need from ASTDD and stay connected to the people, resources, and opportunities that support your work. On October 6, ASTDD will launch its redesigned website, featuring a cleaner, more intuitive experience that incorporates our new logo and refreshed branding. The updated website will reflect who we are today and where we’re headed, while remaining true to the mission and values that have always guided our work.
What’s New for Members?
-
A simpler way to find resources — Explore tools, reports, publications, technical assistance, webinars, and other resources organized around the work you do.
-
A clearer view of ASTDD’s programs and services — Easily find upcoming events, educational opportunities, webinars, and information about ASTDD’s programs and initiatives.
-
More ways to get involved — Discover opportunities to participate in committees, Communities of Practice, surveys, initiatives, and other activities that connect you with your ASTDD colleagues.
-
A better way to stay connected — Stay informed about what’s happening across ASTDD, including our strategic priorities, partnerships, news, and organizational updates.
This is just the beginning! The October launch marks the first phase of a larger website transformation, with additional member-focused features and an enhanced member experience coming in early 2027. We’re excited to introduce a website that better serves our members and reflects ASTDD’s future as the place Where Oral Health Lives.

Updates to ASTDD membership process
As we prepare for our new website and expanded member experience, we are also making important updates to our membership process.
ASTDD membership renewal is moving from October 1 to January 2027. This adjustment will allow us time to align the renewal process with the launch of our enhanced member website experience and upcoming new membership model.
With ASTDD recently updating its administrative address to 154 Cobblestone Court Drive, #118, Victor, NY (because of a shift in leadership location), we must complete its required recertification with all 50 states. To accommodate this process and our website transition, the ASTDD Board of Directors has decided to delay membership renewal until January 2027.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these improvements. Additional information about the renewal process and upcoming membership changes will be shared in the coming months.
If you have questions, please contact Matt Zaborowski, Executive Director, at mzaborowski@astdd.org.

Join us for upcoming events
We understand a lot has been happening at ASTDD over the last six months! We’ve worked hard to keep members informed through Ask Matt Mondays (AMMs) and other communication channels like the Weekly Digest and website homepage.
As we move from planning to implementation of our Strategic Framework, we’re evolving Ask Matt Mondays into Member Mondays with Matt. These sessions will build on our earlier conversations, moving beyond broad organizational updates to explore specific topics, initiatives, and processes in greater detail. Each session will provide context, practical information, updates on our progress, and opportunities for members to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussion.

11/18/26 | ASTDD Spotlight: Teledentistry Today — From Access Strategy to Integrated Care | 1:00 pm ET |
Zoom link
Teledentistry has evolved from a promising innovation to an important strategy for expanding access, strengthening care coordination, and supporting medical-dental integration. ASTDD’s newly adopted policy statement, Teledentistry: Expanding Access and Integration in Oral Healthcare, reflects this evolution and the growing evidence supporting teledentistry across settings including Medicaid programs, FQHCs, school-based programs, long-term care facilities, and other community programs. This ASTDD Spotlight will introduce the updated policy statement, highlight key evidence and implementation considerations, and explore actionable roles for State and Territorial Oral Health programs. Participants will consider how existing programs can advance partnerships, workforce development, reimbursement policy, equitable access, evaluation, and sustainable integration of teledentistry into oral health delivery systems.

Important Clarification: ASTDD Listservs and Member Communications
In response to questions and comments received from members following our recent announcement, we want to clarify what the retirement of ASTDD's listservs means for future communications and member engagement.
While our listservs have been retired, ASTDD's commitment to keeping members informed, connected, and engaged remains unchanged.
Our new communications platform (Constant Contact) will provide one-way communication from ASTDD to our members, including the Weekly Digest, news alerts, important announcements, resources, and other timely updates. Unlike our former listservs, members will not be able to send messages directly to the entire membership through this platform.
However, you will still be able to communicate directly with one another! We recognize how valuable our listservs have been for asking questions, exchanging ideas, sharing resources, and connecting with colleagues. We are actively working on a new member-to-member communication tool that will restore these opportunities and enhance how our members connect and collaborate. We anticipate launching this tool in January 2027.
In the meantime, we strongly encourage members to continue sharing information and staying engaged. If you have questions, resources, upcoming events, announcements, or other information you would like shared with the membership, please email info@astdd.org. Our team will review requests and share relevant information through our established communication channels.
Our listservs may be retired, but member-to-member communication is not going away. We're working on bringing it back in a new and improved way!
