Edgecombe Community College Practical Nursing graduates participated in their pinning ceremony on August 1. The Practical Nursing Class of 2024 graduated 12 students. These graduates have met the education requirements to take the NCLEX-PN®, the National Council Licensure Examination, which is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Two ECC teams proudly participated in the annual Twin Counties Heart Walk held September 28 at the Courthouse Square in downtown Tarboro. Together, the ECC Eagles and Student Nurses Association teams successfully raised over $300 to support initiatives in the fight against heart disease. ECC extends heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to and supported this important cause.

Students in ECC’s Agribusiness Technology program are taking lessons on and around a new tractor — the program’s first – which was presented to the college by LS Tractor, an international farm equipment manufacturer and retailer.

The company’s American division, LS Tractor USA, donated the blue MT2E series tractor in May as it dedicated its new parts warehouse at its facilities in Gold Rock. Nash Community College also received a tractor for its agriculture programs.

ECC and NCC provided technical support to LS Tractor USA in developing and pilot-testing the MT2E series.

The ECC Radiography Program, in partnership with the ECC Edgecombe Radiography Organization, has launched a collection drive aimed at supporting those impacted by Hurricane Helene. This initiative seeks to gather nonperishable food and essential supplies to aid those in need during this challenging time. Donations will be accepted on the Rocky Mount campus until October 25. For more information about the collection drive and how to contribute, please contact duncand@edgecombe.edu.

ECC's notification system allows for quick sharing of important information via email and text messages. Curriculum students are registered automatically but should update their contact information. Continuing Education students and the public can opt in by texting ECCALERTS to 67283.
