The Wait is Over:

Jumpstart Germantown Training Program - Now Enrolling

We will be prioritizing enrollment for local residents as follows:

1. Germantown area residents will receive priority enrollment until August 1st. (Zip codes 19144, 19138, 19150, 19119, 19126, 19129)
2. After August 1st, enrollment will open up to all residents of the City of Philadelphia.
3. If space remains after September 1st, we will begin enrolling applicants from outside Philadelphia.
4. The deadline for all applications is September 15th.

Regardless of your residency - you can apply now and we’ll evaluate your application based on the dates above. Space is limited, apply today!

The dates/times of each session are tentatively scheduled for:

• Tuesdays and Thursdays - 4:30pm to 6:00pm
• 10/7/2025 to 11/6/2025

Note: You will be required to attend all NINE sessions.

Jumpstart Expansion Updates:

Welcome Jumpstart Rhode Island!

Last month, Jessica David, Co-Founder and President of Local Return in Providence, RI, officially launched Jumpstart Rhode Island, bringing the transformative Jumpstart model to a new community.

“We had 13 proud graduates. Along with our five remarkable main presenters, Providence City Council President Rachel Miller and Rhode Island Housing’s President of Proactive Development Ben Frost stopped by to offer remarks,” shared Jessica David.

Building on this successful first cohort, the team is already planning several follow-up Jumpinars and connecting with potential funders to secure support for future programs.

We’re thrilled to see the Jumpstart model continue to grow and make an impact in new places!

Jumpstart Philly en Español - Graduates 2nd Class!

Last month, Jumpstart Philly en Español proudly celebrated the graduation of its second cohort, with 33 out of 34 participants successfully completing the program.

Adding a special touch to the occasion, the celebration was hosted at Plaza Garibaldi, a restaurant owned by Raul Castro—one of the program’s own graduates.

Led by Kersy Azocar of Greenline Access Capital, the program continues to thrive and already has 20 people on the waitlist for its Fall cohort!

“This game-changing initiative equips people with the education, networking opportunities, mentorship, and financing to purchase, rehab, and complete houses in underinvested neighborhoods,” says Kersy Azocar.
