Bringing Community, Creativity, and Compassion Together
Still Waters Adult Day Center is a person-centered, faith-based, and activity-rich center for our seniors. We provide a safe space, Monday through Friday, for seniors to engage with one another, encouraging social, emotional, and physical well-being.
| | Thank You, Central Indiana Community Foundation Senior Fund! | |
We are honored to share that Still Waters has once again been awarded funding from the CICF Senior Fund. This support is truly instrumental in helping us continue our mission.
Unlike many organizations, Still Waters has not raised its daily rates in over 3 ½ years, recognizing the financial challenges that many seniors and their families face. At the same time, the income we receive through programs like Pathways does not fully cover the actual cost of care. That is why operational support like this is so critical.
In fact, nearly 40% of our annual budget relies on grants and individual giving to keep our doors open and our programs thriving. The generosity of the CICF Senior Fund enables us to continue providing compassionate, high-quality care while maintaining affordable services for those who need us most.
We are deeply grateful for their ongoing partnership and belief in our work. Together, we are building a stronger, more supportive community for older adults and caregivers.
| | A Special Thank You to CICOA | |
We are excited to share that Still Waters has been selected to receive funding through the Older Americans Act (OAA) from CICOA Aging & In-Home Solutions!
Although the funding awarded is partial due to the high demand in our community, we are truly grateful for this support, which enables us to continue providing vital services to caregivers and families. From public information and caregiver outreach, to information & assistance, and our caregiver support groups, these funds will help us strengthen programs that provide encouragement, education, and connection for those walking the caregiving journey.
Thanks to CICOA's partnership, we can continue to be a trusted place of support for families in Central Indiana who are caring for their loved ones at home.

| | Welcome Back, IU Indianapolis Dietetic Students! | |
Starting this September through next April, Still Waters will be hosting eight IU Indianapolis Dietetic Students as they rotate through our center. These students bring fresh energy and knowledge to our programs, helping with lunch and snack preparation, leading fun and practical nutrition education sessions, and sharing tips with our guests on how to make healthy eating a part of everyday life.
We genuinely love having students at Still Waters. Not only do they support our day-to-day activities, but they also bring creativity, curiosity, and a new perspective that benefits both our staff and our guests. Their presence reminds us that learning never stops, whether you're in the classroom or in the community.
We're also excited to share that we are working on a larger partnership that will grow even stronger if we're awarded an upcoming grant. Stay tuned for more updates!
