Dear Philippians,
We can’t wait to see everyone at the 46th annual Blue Grass Mass and Goat Roast on Sunday! We want to share a few details ahead of time so everyone will know what to expect.
Thank you to everyone who has donated your time and your talent! There is a lot going on this weekend - fun times, prep work and fellowship. Our schedule is as follows:
Friday afternoon/night in the Hollow
Join us at for a good old fashioned campout while we cook the meat
for 12 hours! This will give us time to cool the meat before we pull it.
We will be in the Hollow all night. Make plans to join us if you can.
Saturday
9am
Side dish prep volunteers report to the kitchen no later than 9:30am. We will have a light breakfast, snacks, and when we are done with our work, will celbrate with bloody marys and mimosas!
2pm- 4:30pm:
Meat pulling in the Hollow Please join us if you can - the more people we have, the less time it takes!
Saturday evening
Make plans to join us in the Hollow around 6:00 for some fun
wind-down time. The pork will already be pulled and we can relax
and enjoy fellowship. The grills will be fired up - bring your own
meat and throw it on the grill for dinner. Bring the beverage
of your choice and let’s kick back, visit, and listen to music.
Sunday
Remember, ONE SERVICE at 10:30a.m. Sunday. Our Bluegrass Mass with the Vernon Brothers will be held inside. After the service, the picnic and music from the Vernon Brothers and the Red Hots will follow in the Hollow. Golf carts will be available to transport folks down and up as needed. Takeout boxes will be available for those taking food “to go."
We hope you will plan to stay the afternoon! Please dress comfortably – wear your Goat Roast t-shirt if you bought one, or one from a previous year if you did not!
Don't forget - if you bought tickets or sponsored and you can't be with us, please share your tickets with people you know will join us.
Limited remaining t-shirts, along with meal tickets, will be on sale for the rest of today in the church office and then beginning at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Youth t-shirts and tanks are on sale for 1/2 off, so take advantage!
Can’t wait to see you there!
