Florida Editions

Announcing a new series: Florida Editions. Featured titles include South Moon Under (publishes October 2026) and Time of the Turtle (publishes March 2027).

We are excited to announce a new book series, Florida Editions, that recovers literary works of special significance to the state, reviving them for modern audiences.

Through re-releases of books written in Florida, about Florida, or by Florida authors, with contextual forewords by contemporary writers and scholars, this new series showcases the vibrant cultural landscape that has long existed in the state.

The first book to publish in the Florida Editions series will be South Moon Under by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, with a foreword by Lauren Groff. There will be a launch event for South Moon Under at The Lynx Books on Friday, October 16, at 6:00pm. RSVP at the link below.

The second book to publish in the series will be Time of the Turtle by naturalist Jack Rudloe, with a foreword by historian Jack E. Davis and supplementary material from ecologist Matthew Kopka. This title will publish in March 2027.

Tampa Theatre

A Century of Stories

Andrew T. Huse

Opulent and nostalgic, Tampa Theatre is one of the most magnificent movie palaces of the early twentieth century. This book traces the story of the theater from its opening in 1926 as a home for silent films through decades of historic preservation efforts to the present day, where, grander than ever before, it serves as a nonprofit film and cultural center for the Tampa community.

The 100th anniversary celebration for Tampa Theatre is October 15, 2026. Join Jill Witecki and Joey Hager from Tampa Theatre in a book event at Tombolo Books in St. Petersburg on October 21.
