Thank you to everyone who came out for our International Night on Jan. 15th! Families got to explore the world by visiting the different displays to learn about the unique features of each nation presented, such as their food, art, music, history, and traditions.

**House totals now include points earned from the January House Service Challenge - Warm Wishes for Winter - Sock & Blanket Drive.**

Virtue of the Month – Respect

During the month of January, we are focusing on acts of Respect - To consider worthy of high regard.

Teachers and staff will be on the lookout to reward students with special Virtue of the Month Virtue Tickets for exhibiting behavior aligned with this Core Virtue. Each Virtue of the Month Ticket earned counts towards 5 points for the students' House.

House Academic Challenge - Poster Challenge!!

In preparation to celebrate Black History Month and earn points for your House, design a poster featuring a past or current African American figure who inspires you. Entries will be accepted January 20th - January 30th to be displayed.



To help celebrate, the House that earns the most points through their submissions will be able to wear their House shirts with jeans on Friday, February 6th.

January House Service Challenge - Warm Wishes for Winter (Socks & Blanket Drive):

Some of the most requested items from community centers are blankets and socks. SCA partnered with the Wesley Community Center of Savannah to help send some warmth to the families they serve by hosting a Sock and Blanket Drive.

Additionally, we challenged the Upper Grades (6th - 12th graders) Houses and Lower Grades (Pre-K - 5th graders) Houses to bring in the most items for donation. The House of each grade band (Upper Grades & Lower Grades) that earned the most points through their donations earned a Pizza and Wings Victory Lunch on Friday, January 23rd!
