Family Fun Day
Join Montgomery Center for their Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Meet the summer staff and shop at the Camp Store. Arts and crafts, swimming and canoeing activities will be open. Cabin tours are available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

3rd Friday Work Day
Join us every 3rd Friday, at Montgomery, for a workday! Projects range from construction and plumbing to cleaning and organizing. Can't make it on a Friday? Call the Montgomery office to schedule your service day for any time, 352-473-4516.

FISH 2.0: Ministry Workers Retreat
The FISH 2.0: Ministry Workers Retreat will be held September 21 and 22, at Montgomery Center. FISH 2.0 provides leadership development for all volunteers and professionals in church ministry and leadership. The retreat is perfect for Sunday school teachers, Bible study leaders, pastors, deacons, elders, youth leaders and Christian educators. There will be a special keynote by Rev. Michelle Thomas Bush. Medicare Information Event
Palms Presbyterian Church will host a Medicare Information Event on June 15, at 10:00 a.m. This informational event will include: getting started with Medicare, Medicare hospitals and doctors, choosing the best prescription plan and more. Refreshments will be served.

Save the Date for the Annual Presbyterian Women Summer Gathering and 2023-2024 Bible Study Kick-Off. The event will be held on August 26, at Montgomery center from 9:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Bible Study will be lead by Rev. Dana Riley and Emily Heeg.

Columbia Theological Seminary Offers PW Study Intro
Columbia Theological Seminary's Center for Lifelong Learning invites you to explore Sacred Encounter: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts, the PW/Horizons 2023-2024 Bible Study, during its annual leader seminar August 7 through 9, on the seminary campus. This orientation to the new PW Bible study prepares leaders to facilitate its nine lessons. Register here.

Conferences and Learning Opportunities

Savannah Presbytery School of the Laity
The upcoming courses for the Savannah Presbytery School of the Laity are: Intro to Reformed Theology; Intro to the Bible; and Practical Ministries. This event will take place June 23 through 25, at Epworth By the Sea on St. Simons Island. Please register by June 2.
The School of the Laity courses are held hybrid with both online (via Zoom) and in-person participants. Participants can join a small cohort beginning each June and complete the full two-year program or can take a singular course as their schedule permits.

Apply to Join the Mosaic of Peace Conference in Israel/Palestine in 2024
You are invited to join the Presbyterian Peacemaking Program’s conference to the Holy Land in Israel/Palestine March 4 through 15, 2024. During this conference, you will engage with Christian, Muslim and Jewish leaders; walk in the footsteps of the Prince of Peace and encounter contemporary Palestinians and Israelis; and connect with global and local partners to take meaningful action for a just and lasting peace in the region.
