|
Milton Theatre Company recently attended the Georgia Theatre Conference in Gainesville, GA. Fifty-five students from the Advanced Drama and Technical Theater classes spent 3 days attending workshops and watching other schools perform. While there, they performed their One Act play The 39 Steps as part of the Ray Horne Festival. We are extremely proud of the cast and crew on their wonderful performance. Additionally, Vee Roszell and Avery Shorkey were named to the All Star Cast, and Matthew Boys won Best Performer!
Up next for MTC is GHSA Region 7-5A One Act Play Competition. They will perform Alice By Heart at Seckinger High School on Saturday Nov. 2 at 5:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come cheer them on!

JUNIOR ADVISEMENT MEETINGS
|
Counselors begin holding Junior Advisement Meetings on October 21 and will continue these meetings through the end of the semester. Students should have received a postcard in the mail with the assigned date and time of their meeting.
Attendance for this meeting is mandatory for all Juniors and optional for parents. We ask that for the sake of timeliness, any parents who want to join will do so VIRTUALLY. Please provide your assigned counselor with at least 24 hours notice so she can provide you a TEAMS link. Counselors schedule these meetings back-to-back, and if students are more than 5 minutes late, they may be asked to reschedule.
If you did not receive your postcard in the mail, email your assigned counselor. Counselors will also post their Junior Advisement Schedules outside their doors in the counseling suites and students can check their meeting times at their own convenience.
Thank you!

ANNUAL PARENT PERCEPTION SURVEY
|
PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO COMPLETE THE
ANUAL PARENT PERCEPTION SURVEY
At Fulton County Schools, we truly value the feedback from our parents about their experiences with the district. That is why I encourage all parents to take the Annual Parent Perception Survey. This survey allows parents the opportunity to tell us what they think about their student’s schools and the district. While we always make it a priority to listen to our parents, this survey affords us another opportunity to receive your thoughts and opinions.

SENIORS: EARN YOUR GRADUATION CORD
|
Coming to school and being present and attentive is vital. Attending school regularly is essential for academic success, personal development, and preparing for future opportunities. It sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning and achievement.
To recognize students who demonstrate exemplary attendance and behavior, a special graduation cord will be awarded under the following conditions:
-
TARDIES: Students must have NO unexcused tardies.
-
ABSENCES: Students must have NO unexcused absences. Students may have FIVE (5) or fewer excused absences per semester.
EXCUSED ABSENCE DOCUMENTATION
Documentation for any absence type must be provided within five days of returning to school for an absence to be excused. Parents and/or guardians may send an email or handwritten note to the school to document a student absence. If needed, the principal or designee will verify the email address and the credibility of the email. The following must be included in all documentation:
- Student Name
- Student FCS ID Number (lunch number)
- Parent/Guardian Name
- Parent/Guardian Email & Phone Number
-
DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS: Students must have NO instances of In-School-Suspension (ISS) and/or Out-of-School Suspension (OSS).
This cord is a symbol of your commitment to punctuality, consistent attendance, and maintaining positive behavior throughout your high school career.
This proposal aims to ensure that the new graduation cord is not only understood but also valued by students as a meaningful symbol of their hard work, commitment, and readiness for the future. By clearly communicating the criteria and providing the necessary support, we can encourage more students to strive for this honor.
