The Snow Emergency in the
Village of Ossining is in effect until further notice.
The Village of Ossining declared a Snow Emergency on January 31, 2021, which is in effect until further notice.

A reminder that stopping/standing/parking during a Snow Emergency is prohibited on designated Snow Emergency Streets. That means you will be towed if you leave your car on a Snow Emergency Street while the Snow Emergency is in effect.

Please do your best to stay off of the roads.

Sanitation pick-up for Wednesday, February 3, 2021, will be picked up as a regular Wednesday Commingled Recyclables day. The balance of the week is also a regular schedule. Click here for the 2021 Sanitation & Recycling Schedule.

The Recreation Department will be open as a warming center during its regular hours, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with all programs running, including lap swim.

This is a friendly reminder that when shoveling, you should clear snow away from nearby fire hydrants. Consider being a good neighbor and digging out your neighbor's fire hydrant as well. We do this so that when firefighters are battling a fire to save your home, they are not delayed in hooking up their hoses because they're chipping away at snow and ice.

In the event of a power outage, call 1-800-75-CONED or text "EG" to "UTAGE" to make a report. You can also download the ConEd app on your iPhone or Android smartphone to easily report outages and check on estimated restoration times -- you will need to have your account number handy to register with the app, so be sure to have it on hand to get set up. You can also use these services to report downed wires, which should also be reported to the police department.
