Greetings from C. Darby Ulery, founder of "Let's Go! Fairhope" events-related newsletter, calendar and website resource for Fairhope, Alabama.
This week, 131 events were uploaded to the searchable electronic calendar. In addition to several highlighted below, many more will be found in the printable events calendar and searchable electronic calendar over on the Let's Go! Fairhope website.
I had a "Wow" moment this week reflecting on the quality and diversity of opportunities we have right here in our zip code. If you disagree, or if there are other events you'd like to see here, I hope you'll reply and share your thoughts.
Thank you to the St. Francis at the Point Anglican Church community for providing information regarding Sunday's FREE and open-to-the-public classical piano recital with Steven Spooner January 19 at 3 pm:

I learned this week that Fairhope resident and author Alan Haft will be speaking at the local screening of the 2021 film, The Survivor, next week, on January 23. Not only will he be giving remarks, but Mr. Haft will be honoring the legacy of his father, Harry Haft, the main character of the film, portrayed by actor Ben Foster.
Caution: The trailer video below may be emotionally triggering for some audiences. For others, it might be inspiring. Regardless of your faith or affiliation, the film presents a unique perspective on the power of love, and if the cinematography doesn't impress you, check your pulse and at least you might recognize Danny DeVito.
The event is part of the 2025 Mobile Jewish Film Festival, and everyone of all faiths and backgrounds is encouraged to attend. The first screenshot will take you to the festival's website, the second is the trailer.
