Dog Days of Summer!

We can't believe the end of summer is approaching and many of our riders will be going back to school already. It's been a busy...and hot...summer to say the least. More below on what we've been up to!

The Painting Party and BBQ

Work and Fun in the HEAT!

A HUGE thank you to all our riders AND parents who were able to make it out to our painting party and BBQ. Everyone was an enormous help in getting our standards and poles refreshed with a new coat of paint and we were able to get through a lot in a couple of hours of work with everyone chipping in. It was also a fun time for our riders to meet, hang out and have some fun.

We're looking at some times for a Fall BBQ as well...this time perhaps without the work beforehand.

Big Easy Camp

It was small, but fun! Anna, Wally and Addie joined Adrian and our "counselors" Stephanie and Natalie for a week of riding, lessons, arts and crafts and more! Next summer, we plan on doing a few weeks as well and will try to provide a bit more advanced notice.

Swan Lake

Laney, Natalie, Stephanie and Allie made their way back up to Swan Lake in Pennsylvania for two days of showing.

Stephanie & Cooper rode in the Junior Working Hunter 3'3", picking up a 3rd place in the first Over Fence class. They also rode in the JR/AO Hunter Classic.

Laney & Folsom rode in the Low Children's Hunter taking a handful of 6th and 7th places, as well as a 7th place in the Classic.

Natalie and Vendetta competed in the Children's 3' Hunters and grabbed a 1st place in the Under Saddle.

Allie and Ivy also came up and schooled but didn't end up doing any official classes.

BEST July @ P.G. Equestrian

Natalie, Allie, and Caroline took the trip around the beltway for great day at P.G. with Stephanie joining to be groom for the day and to help school her old ride, Folsom. More pics here!

Natalie & Vendetta

Natalie & Vendetta had some great rides and took Reserve Champion in the Children's Hunter 3' with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. They also took a 5th place in the MHSA Gittings.

Allie & Ivy

Allie & Ivy (Material Girl) took their rounds in the MHSA Low Adult Hunter, taking a 3rd place in the Under Saddle.

Caroline & Folsom

Caroline rode Folsom in her first show in years and had a great time in the Novice Hunter 2', taking an 8th place ribbon in her second Over Fence.

BEST August @ P.G. Equestrian

...and back again! This time with Harper, Stephanie, Allie and Audrey!

Harper & Anya started the day competing in the Short Stirrup Equitation picking up a 5th and two 7th place, then the Short Stirrup Hunter where she grabbed a 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Allie & Ivy had a great day as well, winning Reserve Champion in the Low Adult Amateur class with two 2nds and a 5th!

Audrey & Verena took to the 2'3" jumpers with a 7th place.

With Natalie out of town, Stephanie "borrowed" Vendetta and also grabbed a 6th place in the 2'3" jumpers.

Lexington Nationals

Allie and Adrian spent last week at the Lexington Nationals to round out the month.

Allie & Ivy (Material Girl)rode in a wide array of events, including Schooling Hunter, 2'6" USHJA Hunter, Low Hunter 2'6", Special Adult Hunter, Limit Hunter, Low Adult Hunter and Maiden Hunter. The pair collected a ton of ribbons, including a 1st and 3rd place in the Low Hunter - earning Reserve Champion - 3rd places in Maiden and Special Adult Hunters and many, many more!

Adrian & Valiant rode in the jumpers, picking up a 2nd place in the 0.95m.
