Sunshine & Studying: Summer Session is Here, Dolphins!


Summer Session at Coastline starts tomorrow, but there is still plenty of time to register and join us! Taking one or two courses during the summer is an excellent way to check some general education requirements off your list, freeing up your fall and spring semesters for major-related courses. Or perhaps you plan on becoming a Dolphin for the first time in Fall 2025? Get a jump start on your Coastline education by getting your feet wet in a summer course! Register today to snag your spot!

Need Help with Textbooks or Technology this Summer?


Need books for classes? Check to see if you qualify for textbook assistance through the Dolphin Assistance Program! Assistance is awarded through the Dolphin Assistance Program based on availability of books, program funding, student program eligibility, and financial aid eligibility. Students receiving a book voucher agree to return any books purchased to the Student Equity Office at the end of the semester. The books will be donated to the Coastline book borrowing program. Students must participate in one workshop and complete a follow-up survey. Visit the Textbook Assistance page for all program information and eligibility requirements!

Application for Coastline's Pace+ Competency-Based Education Program Now Open!


Coastline College’s Pace+ program is a direct assessment, competency-based program - the first of it's kind offered in the California Community College system - that allows students to leverage their personal and professional experience to earn their credential faster. This fully online program allows students to work on their own schedule, at their own pace, while being fully supported by faculty and staff at Coastline.


We're excited to announce that the application for this new program is NOW OPEN! To learn more about this exciting new way to earn your degree at Coastline, visit the Pace+ webpage. Wondering if a program like Pace+ would be right for you? Take the short Pace+ Questionnaire to find out!

Pride Night at Angels Stadium

We’re excited to invite you to Pride Night at Angel Stadium—a night of celebration, community, and baseball! Join us as we show our support for LGBTQIA+ pride and inclusivity while cheering on the Angels! Tickets include your game ticket, pre-game festivities, and a special Pride Night hat! They are also limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait! Open to all students, faculty, and staff! Show your PRIDE, wear your Coastline Gear!

Getting Started with MyCoast and Canvas: Essential Skills Workshop

Join the Student Success Resource Center for the first workshop in our series focused on helping you navigate MyCoast and Canvas, Coastline College's online platforms. We will guide you through accessing essential resources, managing your student information, and using the tools available on both platforms to support your learning experience. If you don't know your credentials for MyCoast, we'll assist you in setting them up after the session.

Summer Hours for the Dolphin Food Pantry

Spend your money on more than groceries! The Coastline Food Pantry supports students' nutritional needs with both perishable and non-perishable items available free of charge through weekly programming and Food Box pick up. The Dolphin Food Pantry does not require an RSVP or reservation - you only need to be enrolled in 3 units at Coastline and you are eligible to utilize the pantry. Summer hours for the Dolphin Food Pantry will be 11am - 4pm, Monday - Thursday, at the Fountain Valley Student Services Center, and the second Tuesday of each month at Westminster-Le Jao Campus. Visit coastline.edu/food-assistance for pick-up guidelines, resources, and more information.

As part of Coastline's ongoing efforts to enhance communication and support for our students, we are excited to introduce a new feature that aims to streamline the process of seeking information and assistance. The "Got questions?" for serves as a centralized hub for inquires, providing a convenient and efficient for you to submit questions and receive a response within 24 to 48 hours. Find the form on the Student Services webpage whenever you have questions!


TimelyCare Virtual Care Available to Coastline Students!

Hey, Dolphins! Did you know that as a Coastline College student, you get free virtual care through the TimelyCare app? That’s right! You can access free virtual health and well-being support, as well as self-care content, anytime. Signing up is easy. All you have to do is download the TimelyCare app or visit timelycare.com/coastline on your web-enabled device, sign in with your school .edu email address, then create a profile - and that’s it! You can start a visit or go to the Explore page on the TimelyCare app for on-demand self-care content, including yoga and meditation sessions made specifically for college students. Have questions? Check it out on Coastline's Mental Health Services page, then visit timelycare.com/coastline to get started!

Our editors seek submissions for the Fall 2025 issue of StoryLine, Coastline's Online "Arts and Letters" Magazine! Submissions are being accepted for: Art, Photography, Poetry, Essays, Short Stories, and Digital Stories. For full guidelines and to submit, fill out our online submission form by July 21st and upload your work. Please contact Oceana Callum with any questions.
