Hero of the Month: Stacey Mullins Garbowit

This month, we proudly recognize Stacey Mullins Garbowit, founding director of the EBC Foundation, as our Hero of the Month. Inspired by the loss of her mother to breast cancer, Stacey has dedicated herself to spreading awareness about the importance of early detection, organizing the inaugural Every Boob Counts 5K in her mother’s honor. She serves on the Sharsheret Florida Advisory Committee and their National Board, and previously on the Susan G. Komen South Florida Board.

A respected family law attorney at Gray Robinson in Boca Raton, Stacey is also an accomplished author and lecturer. When not advocating for breast cancer awareness or practicing law, she enjoys running marathons and triathlons, golfing with her husband, and spending time with her children. Stacey’s dedication, leadership, and passion make her a true inspiration in our community.

Supporting Our Heroes: Silver Injury Law at the Devil Dog 5K/10K

We are proud to announce that Silver Injury Law recently sponsored and participated in the Devil Dog 5K/10K, an inspiring event dedicated to raising both funds and awareness for the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund.

The Devil Dog races are more than just a run—they are a way to honor the courage and sacrifice of our veterans while providing much-needed support to those who have been wounded in service. Our team had an incredible time taking part, and we were thrilled to contribute to this meaningful cause.

By participating in events like the Devil Dog 5K/10K, we hope to continue supporting our veterans and giving back to the community that has given so much to all of us.

Boynton Beach Enhances Safety with New School Zone Speed Cameras

Drivers in Boynton Beach are being asked to slow down as the city takes new measures to improve safety around school zones. The Boynton Beach Police Department recently launched 18 speed cameras near seven schools across the area, including:

  • Forest Park Elementary
  • Crosspointe Elementary
  • Citrus Cove Elementary
  • Freedom Shores Elementary
  • Poinciana Elementary
  • Rolling Green Elementary
  • Imagine Chancellor Charter School

The cameras are active 30 minutes before and after the school day and remain off when school is not in session, including holidays.

Drivers caught exceeding the speed limit by 11 miles per hour or more will receive a $100 citation in the mail. This fine is considered a civil traffic infraction and will not affect insurance rates or add points to a driver’s license.

Traffic data from 2021 to 2023 shows that Freedom Shores Elementary had 54 crashes near its campus, the highest among Boynton Beach schools. Rolling Green Elementary followed with 22 crashes during the same period.

In addition to protecting students, the program helps fund public safety initiatives, including the crossing guard program, traffic message boards, and safety and speed equipment. More than 30 schools across Palm Beach County have now installed new speed cameras as part of these efforts.

At Silver Injury Law We Have Been Known to Walk "The Last Mile"

At Silver Injury Law we've been known to walk the "last mile" for our clients meaning that, when liability is uncertain or disputed, we will literally walk the "last mile" on the roadway before an accident happened so that we can see what the other motorist should have seen but didn't. We are mindful that, while we will move on to the next case, our clients only have one case so we conduct our own investigations to turn over every stone so that Justice can be allowed to prevail. Absolutely nobody is as thorough as me and my team in our pursuit of justice. - Bruce Silver Esq.
