Let's Grow Together Building Project Update | We are thankful for the steady progress on our facility expansion and eagerly await the day we can fully use this space for ministry—a vibrant hub where Christ’s love is taught and modeled! Classrooms are on track for completion by the end of September with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work nearly done, windows installed, and drywall and painting underway. Flooring will follow soon, and gym equipment installation has begun. Asphalt work is in progress with the driveway ready by the first day of school. The cheer/wrestling multipurpose room is also taking shape, and the entire facility is projected to be finished by mid-December. What a blessing! |
NEW KML Federation Church & School | |
We're excited to welcome Risen Savior Lutheran Church and School to the KML Federation!
Risen Savior Lutheran Church was founded as a daughter congregation of Salem Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, in 1971. For three decades, Risen Savior operated a small preschool and provided a teacher at Salem. In 2003 a grade school was opened with grades K5-5, and a grade was added each of the subsequent years to serve grades K4-8. In 2020 Risen Savior opened an East Campus on the site of Loving Shepherd Lutheran Church beginning with grades K5-5 and growing to currently serve K5-8. In 2023 St. Mark Lutheran Church in Brown Deer was purchased and remodeled and an Early Childhood Center opened in 2024 serving ages K3-K4.
Today Risen Savior serves a diverse student body of African American, Hispanic, Asian, African immigrant, and Caucasian students with around 400 students on three campuses. Rev. Jake Shepherd serves as the pastor to both the English and Spanish speaking congregations, and Dr. Rob Dusseau serves as the superintendent. Risen Savior has 29 called teachers and administrators and 17 teaching assistants and support staff.
