Spring Forward!
April is upon us and we have closed out the first quarter of 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic is still negatively impacting our daily lives but there are signs of change down the road. The vaccine is now available to all adults age 18 and over, which gives us reason to be very optimistic that in the very near future we will be getting back to a more normal lifestyle.
The only way we can accomplish this is to remain viligant, wear masks, wash hands regularly and get vaccinated.
This month's issue of De Riddim Box delivers lots of information and we want to say a belated Happy Birthday to Derrick Morgan, his 81 Birthday Concert will be on Sunday, April 10th. Check it out. We say a sad farewell to Congressman Alcee L. Hastings, a true friend of our Caribbean community. He was a warrior, a politician with backbone, who are few in today's pack of elected representatives. He will be sadly missed.
If you haven't done so, give a listen to CANE Radio, dropping a sizzling variety of popular Caribbean music 24/7. Word is that they plan to create a very interactive channel for everyone to enjoy. Log on and give it a listen www.caneradio.com.
