CITY WEBSITE GLOWS UP
The City of Durango recently launched its new website that promises a sleeker, more modern design as well as greater functionality for the public. With anchored buttons and dedicated sections for current projects, it’s easier than ever to access the information or portals you need. The redesign – the cost of which is included in the City’s existing web services contract – comes as the website continues to grow in popularity. According to Google analytics, durangogov.org logged a record 2M+ page views in 2023, up from 1.6M in 2022. Residents can also look forward to a migration to a “.gov” web domain in the coming months to assure the public that they are navigating to an official website for the City of Durango. To learn more about the new site’s functionality – including how to upload your own favorite Durango photos for possible use in City communications or to sign up for personalized notifications.–click here.

TOMORROW’S MULCH
City residents can drop off their Christmas trees at Santa Rita Park now through January 31. Natural trees free of ornaments, tinsel, bases, and metal screws/nails can be dropped at the lower dirt lot adjacent to the river just below the large playground area at 105 South Camino del Rio. The trees will be recycled into mulch that will be available to the public early this spring.
