The American Society of Acupuncturists and ASNY are asking all members of our industry to take part in the advocacy of our profession by submitting public comments by October 5, 2020. Please read the detailed explanation below and submit your own individual comments.
Numbers ARE Important! This proposed rule has already received more than 16,000 other public comments, yet only six concern the acupuncture codes, to date. With our own ASA Representative participating in the process, ASNY will follow ASA's lead on the comments and have reached out to members of Congress to also help in this process.
It is important to note that while CMS directly states that their adoption of the dry needling RVU codes do not indicate a change in current CPT Code RVUs for acupuncture, our concern is that it WILL, in fact, influence a change at the CPT level for all acupuncture codes.
