Please join us as we discuss the next steps of the new Missouri UrbanMain program in St. Louis on July 24, from 10 - 11:30am. The meeting will be held at the Get Plugged In...Downtown Conference at The Westin St. Louis.

We will discuss future programming and the application process that we will be unrolling in the coming months. In addition, we’ll have information on how Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) and other taxing mechanisms work in urban districts.

Please RSVP to janie@momainstreet.org.
What could a 60/40 matching grant do for your historic commercial district?
Any Missouri community interested in assistance to establish a Main Street organization or Downtown Revitalization program should attend this workshop.

Only 5 grant awards will be available in 2019.
Don't let this opportunity pass you by. All potential applicants must attend one Community Empowerment Grant Workshop.

The grant workshop will explain the Main Street Philosophy of Revitalization and demonstrate the grant application criteria, materials, and process.

August 14 from 10 am to 1 pm
Governor State Office Building
200 Madison Street, Suite 470
Jefferson City, MO 65101

This workshop is FREE but RSVP is required. There is an optional Lunch & Learn ($15 fee for box lunch) with an experienced Main Street representative sharing success stories.
Keith Winge, Community Development Director with Missouri Main Street Connection (MMSC), accompanied Jim Thompson, Business Specialist for Main Street Iowa, around the state administering services based upon the Main Street Four-Point Approach.

The two visited Kirksville, Odessa, and Concordia one week and Butler, Rockaway Beach, and Willow Springs another week. These visits were just like those conducted in April in Knob Noster and Monroe City. As part of a USDA Rural Development 2-year grant received by MMSC, services and resources are delivered to designated communities across the state based upon the Main Street Four-Point Approach, a comprehensive approach to downtown revitalization.
