Our previous postings stimulated some interesting discussions and questions and anecdotal comments as follows:

When do nominations ballots go out? - Hall of Fame nomination ballots are sent to all ACTIVE alumni members. In most cases, ballots go out shortly after dues are paid and membership becomes active, with an additional distribution sent to all active alumni during the annual nomination period. The AFA Hall of Fame nomination and selection process is administered only through official AFA channels. Individuals should not rely on third parties or informal representatives to collect, submit, interpret, or communicate nomination materials.

This formal process exists to ensure fairness, consistency, confidentiality, and equal consideration for all candidates.
