| | | OUUC Personal Record Forms | |
Reverend Mary and the Pastoral Care Team would like to remind congregants that a Personal Care and Support Record form is available on the OUUC website.
To find the form online, log into OUUC and locate Connect at the top of the home page. Scroll down to Congregational Care where the Personal Care and Support Record will be an option on the right. Finally, click Personal Care and Support Record fillable.
Hard copies of this form are also available in the Commons and may be turned into the office when completed.
PCT members will be available after services to answer questions. Look for the green stoles and smiling faces.
The information you provide us on the form will allow us to better assist you in times of need and will also let us know your end of life wishes.
Forms become PDFs and will be added to the member’s Realm personal profile, which is private, Only Reverend Mary and Reverend Sara will have access to them.

| | | Share the Plate (STP) Program - Applicants invited to apply | |
Each year OUUC invites community nonprofit organizations that serve the South Sound area (Lewis, Mason and Thurston counties) to apply online to the Share the Plate program. Bi-monthly awards are made to six organizations that align with Unitarian Universalist Core Values, with an emphasis on racial, economic, and climate justice. The amount of the grants typically total $3,000 - $4,000. The deadline for applications is October 31, 2026. More details and the application can be found at
https://www.ouuc.org/give/share-the-plate/stp-guidelines-and-application/ .
If you know of any deserving non-profit organizations that fit the criteria and might be interested in applying, please forward this information to them. We will be accepting online applications soon, but they can better understand the process and requirements and even download the application now. The application is very straightforward and not lengthy.

Week Without Driving Walk Audit Opportunity
Tuesday
October 6
4:00 pm
| | |
Week Without Driving was started in 2021 by Anna Zivarts at Disability Rights Washington to bring attention to the barriers nondrivers experience in accessing their communities. This year, the Week Without Driving will be October 1-8th. You can find several opportunities to participate through Intercity Transit’s Walk N Roll program. People First of Thurston County will also be leading a walk audit in Lacey on October 6th at 4pm. After gathering at the shelter at William Bush Park, People First members will lead a walk across intersections in this area to highlight what infrastructure is working well and what could be improved to make transportation safer for nondrivers.

ONLINE UU HISTORY SERIES - OPEN TO ALL!
Wednesdays, October 28 - December 9 (no class November 25)
5-6 PM PT / 6-7 PM MT / 7-8 PM CT / 8-9 PM ET
Meets on Zoom, link provided when you register
This interactive series approaches history through compelling stories and personalities, and invites participants to translate history into our contemporary religious life and practice. Each session offers a forum for learning, sharing, and growth that can enrich our faith journeys.
If you took this class with us in the past, consider joining us again! It's gone through an overhaul in recent years to better reflect our commitment to equity and justice. In our exploration of Unitarian Universalist history, we seek to recognize its complexity, present the fullness of historical figures including some unpleasant and untold truths, and acknowledge when our ancestors’ actions and beliefs are not in alignment with our contemporary Unitarian Universalist thought and practice.
Fee: $25 per person.
For more information or to register, email Faith Forward Coordinator Betty-Jeanne Rueters-Ward. Deadline to register is Wednesday, October 14.
