Untouchability, Caste, Saviourism, and Dalit Feminism - A Short Film

Date: May 27th at 5PM

Location: UCSD Women's Center

What does "untouchability" mean? Interested in learning about caste and casteism at UCSD and beyond? Join us for a short film screening featuring a series of interviews with UCSD students of various caste backgrounds as we discuss how to confront caste. This project is one of the Women's Center intern's Gender Action Projects, titled: Untouchability, Caste, Saviourism, and Dalit Feminism (UCSD).

There will be a giveaway to raffle a copy of "The Trauma of Caste: A Dalit Feminist Meditation on Survivorship, Healing, and Abolition" and refreshments will be provided. The screening will be followed by a group discussion on Dalit feminism and casteism at UCSD.
