“Be Still and Know” prayer group meets each Tuesday from 10:00 a.m-11:00 a.m. This time together is a weekly prayer group based on the reading of the Morning Prayer Service found in the Book of Common Prayer. It will be a time of both communal and private prayer. At the end we will have a time of fellowship where we share, laugh and enjoy one another’s company. Please join us for this intentional quiet time with one another and with God.

Our Stewardship Season continues through October. Please prayerfully consider how you can share your treasures, time, and talents in support of St. Francis by the Sea and our ministry together. Please turn in Pledge Cards and Lay Ministry Roles by November 1st for budgeting purposes.

The Way of St. Francis. Join us for a three-session exploration of St. Francis of Assisi—his life, theology, and legacy, and what his teachings can mean for us today. We’ll meet two more Wednesdays, October 21 and 28. Potluck dinner at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:00 p.m. Come learn more about the saint whose example is at the heart of our parish.

All Saints Remembrance. Please submit names by October 25 to be remembered at our All Saints Service on November 1st.

All Saints’ Day In-Gathering — Sunday, November 1: Join us for All Saints’ Day worship followed by a special in-gathering luncheon. We will remember those who have gone before us, give thanks for our blessings, and bless the pledges received during Stewardship Season.

Meals on Wheels: The Meals Ministry Team continues to serve our community. Our November dates are November 3 (chicken pie) and November 17 (baked pasta). Thank you for your wonderful support of this ministry. We are able to serve 180 needy folks each month, as well as parishioners who are in need of meals. Remember that Love Meals are always available to anyone at any time; share the love with someone who would enjoy a meal!

Our pastoral care team is available to offer support and assistance. If you are in need of prayer, pastoral care visits, or other support please let us know by speaking with clergy or calling the church office (252) 240-2388 Tuesday - Thursday, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. In the event of a pastoral emergency after office hours, please call 252-725-1010.

Name Tags: As we welcome visitors to our Sunday Services, you are encouraged to wear your name tag. This is a wonderful act of hospitality, and will help our new visitors get to know you, and you them. If you need a name tag, please email the church office at stfrancisbts@gmail.com or call 252-240-2388. Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Coffee Hour: We encourage everyone to gather downstairs following our Sunday service for refreshments and to enjoy Christian fellowship. Please also wear your name tag to coffee hour. You may place your name tag on the Parish Administrator's desk at the end of coffee hour and the tags will be returned to the file in the sanctuary. Visitors are especially welcome, and a special note of thanks to our members who host coffee hour every Sunday!

Communion is available to our local homebound parishioners. If interested, please email layministrysfbts@gmail.com and include your preferred contact number. A lay minister will call to schedule a time that is convenient for a visit.

Prayers of the People: For those watching our services on-line, we invite you to send in your prayer requests, praises, and death notices, to be included in the weekly E-bulletins and also during the service. Please email or call the church office with names of people you want to include by 10 a.m. each Thursday. For those attending in person, you may add names to our Prayers of the People list before the service begins. The list is located at the back of the sanctuary, near the visitor registry.

We prayerfully ask that you keep your offerings and pledges to Saint Francis by the Sea up-to-date. Thank you for your faithfulness to our church and to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
