IWIRC Wales & South West
of England Network Launched
October 29, 2024, Dover, DE - IWIRC is pleased to announce the launch of the Wales & South West of England Network. The Wales & South West of England Network officially launched on October 17, 2024.
IWIRC Chair Karen Fellowes, KC (Stikeman Elliott) stated, "IWIRC is thrilled to welcome our *58th network into the IWIRC family. The Wales & South West of England Network is an exciting addition to IWIRC's global expansion, and follows on the heels of new Networks in Midlands and North of England, Channel Islands, Scotland, Ireland and of course, our largest network in London. Welcome and Croeso!"
The inaugural board of the new network includes Network Co-Chairs Lucy Winterborne (EY-Parthenon) and Charlotte May (Manolete), who shared,
“We had attended and enjoyed a number of IWIRC events in London, so when we realized that South Wales and the South West, where we both live and work, was the only region in the UK that didn't have its own network, we knew we had to change that.
We are proud to be launching the Wales & South West of England IWIRC network as a platform where women can nurture meaningful connections and thrive professionally. We will build on IWIRC's recognition of the unique challenges women face in their professional journeys and we hope that this network will act as a beacon of encouragement, learning, and opportunity through offering a diverse range of events that celebrate women's achievements and provides them with the tools they need to excel in their careers."
The Network is planning for its first networking event to be held in Bristol in January of 2025.
London Network Chairs, Luci Mitchell-Fry (Dentons) and Hannah Aynsley (Teneo), welcomed their neighbors, "As co-chairs of the London Network, Hannah and I are delighted that Lucy and Charlotte will be leading this network and look forward to working with them on events and initiatives to the benefit of IWIRC across UK networks."
