WINTER MAINTENANCE – This course provides the essentials for safe, efficient, and effective winter road maintenance. Topics include roadway treatment materials, pre-wetting and anti-icing practices, spreader calibration, application rates, plowing techniques, and environmental awareness.
Audience: Public works staff involved in winter operations, including supervisors, directors, foremen, and equipment operators.
WINTER MAINTENANCE PLANNING – This course focuses on planning and preparation for effective year-round winter operations. Topics include budgeting, workforce training, equipment readiness, material procurement, and public communication strategies.
Audience: Supervisors, managers, directors, roadmasters, and municipal staff responsible for planning and managing winter maintenance operations.
