Dear Supporter:
The Virginia Key Beach Park Trust (VKBPT) is seeking community support AGAINST Ordinance 12201 (Section 38-233) in the upcoming City of Miami Commission Meeting on Thursday, October 13th, 2022 at Miami City Hall.
The City of Miami Commission is proposing a change to the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust Board Ordinance 12201 (Section 38-233). The proposed change will eliminate the current Board of Trustees to establish and appoint the District 5 Commissioner as Chair along with other Commissioners as Board Members. This is unacceptable!
On Thursday, October 13, 2022 the City of Miami Commission will vote to change Ordinance 12201 Section 38-233 to remove the current Board of Trustees that have anchored Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (HVKBP).
The mission of the Virginia Key Beach Park Trust is to enhance the public's understanding of the civic activism which served to create it, and the environmental attributes which sustain Historic Virginia Key Beach Park (HVKBP), the place we revere as "Paradise Renewed".
The Trust is asking the Community to sign and share our petition to SAY NO to the change of Ordinance 12201 (Section 38-233).
Thank you for your continued support and hard work to ensure that the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park remains a legislative and community priority.
Key decision makers, such as you, make the choices that heavily affect the multi-cultural community of Miami.
Please sign this petition, contact the commissioners and join us on Thursday, October 13th at 9am at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, FL 33133 in support to KEEP Ordinance 12201 Section 38-233 as is!
