FROM YOUR PASTOR'S HEART...WORTH IT ALL!

The Apostle Paul writes to the Philippians, “I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.” (Phil. 3:8). The value and experience of knowing Jesus personally and experientially is worth the loss of everything else. Receiving His gift of salvation in this life and the assurance of eternal life is worth more than anything this world could ever offer! Have you forsaken all for the sake of the call? This Sunday, we get to hear Paul’s testimony and exhortation to the Philippians that it was WORTH IT ALL to him to give up everything in his life to gain Christ.

Bring your family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to join us for our Fall Harvest outdoor service at 10:00 am and our Fall Festival at 5:00 pm. It is going to be a great day. We are inviting our children and youth who know the songs, “Sing Hallelujah” (Psalm 103) and “He Knows My Name,” to help lead the congregation from the front during our offering time and prior to the message. It looks like the weather is going to be great. Bring your favorite lawn chair and we will have plenty of folding chairs available as well.

All Saints Sunday is November 1 (Remember to set your clocks back an hour). We will remember our loved ones who went to be with the LORD this year.  Sunday, November 8, we will celebrate Veterans Day and our Heritage Quilters will present a number of Quilts of Valor to our veterans.

HOLY LAND TOUR INTEREST

We are coming down to the wire on needing to make a decision on the Holy Land trip this June. This is the last chance to let me know of your interest. Please email Rebekah Hutton and me to let me know your interest: rhutton@heritage.church, whilliard@heritage.church.  Or call me.

Can’t wait to celebrate with you Sunday!

Upcoming Opportunities and Announcements

Show Your Appreciation by Praying for Our Pastors

October is Pastor Appreciation Month, and we plan to celebrate our pastoral staff this Sunday at the outdoor service! But there is another big way that you can support our pastors - by praying for them and their families daily.

The Trinity Conference is hosting Praying for Our Pastors, an online event on November 7 from 10:00-11:30 am. We will gather for a time a learning, fellowship, and practice. We'll discuss why and how we pray for and with our pastors, and hear from some Trinity Conference pastors about how prayers have supported them. Then we will break out into groups to put what we've learned into practice.

Register here, or if you have questions, you can contact Greg McClure,

gmacbpi@gmail.com or Rebekah Hutton, rhutton@heritage.church.

Kairos Prison Ministry

Kairos is an international prison ministry whose mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ to incarcerated men, women, and youth. Weekend “walks”, similar to Emmaus Walks, are held inside prison involving 24 inmates in a series of talks, discussions, chapel meditations and worship designed to lead each inmate into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

There will be Kairos weekend at the Grimes Men’s Unit in Newport, AR, November 5-8. We are asking for your support in 2 ways.

Pray: We're asking for prayers for our safe travel, for an abundance of cookies, and for the Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of these men during the weekend.

Cookies: We will serve cookies to the all of the inmates and officers. Cookies must be store-bought and in unopened, original packaging. You can bring donations to the church office.

If you have questions, contact the church office or Eddie Prince, eprince92@aol.com.

Heritage Women's Homestead Day - November 14

We have a new date for Women's Homestead Day! Join us Saturday, November 14, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm for a day experiencing life skills handed down from one generation to the next. “Back to the Basics” introductory classes will be offered on canning, needlework, gardening, and the art of homesteading. Most importantly, we will discuss time-proven traditions for being a faithful steward of the blessings the Lord has provided. Sign up on Church Center!
