Grooming Report Update:

Trail Status and Use

Monday update from the grooming team after a full check of the trail network today…

As mentioned yesterday, grooming operations have wrapped up for the season. This morning, our grooming team decided to do a more detailed check on the status of the remaining trails. They discovered SPRING conditions - icy sections (the shiny, fast, slightly terrifying kind), dirt patches that will stop you in your tracks, and the occasional muddy spot that could happily eat a brand new pair of skis whole.

Now… we all know that will not stop some of you from getting out there (and honestly, we respect it). But it also means we are going to start seeing more mixed use across the trail network.

So, we are shifting into full multi-use mode until the snow is gone. What does this mean for everyone?:

  • Skiers will continue to utilize the trails to the bitter end.
  • Users will likely see dogs in places you normally do not—owners, please make sure you ALWAYS clean up after them
  • Adventurous Fatbikers will be out exploring the Nordic trails.
  • Runners and walkers, we ask that you stick to the singletrack where possible (footprint holes are tough on everyone)
  • The Main Lodge and bathrooms will be closed at 4:30pm.
  • Disc golfers… hang tight, the course remains closed for now

At the end of the day, it is that time of year—conditions are what they are, and we are all just trying to enjoy the outdoors a little longer. A bit of patience and awareness goes a long way. Be respectful of your fellow users and enjoy all that the club can offer.

If you are heading out on the trails, feel free to stop in with a donation to support trail maintenance for all season. We have also wrapped up rentals for the season to keep the gear from taking a beating in these conditions.

Get out there, have some fun, and let’s all take care of the trails (and each other) as we roll into spring.
