Message from Mayor Pribonic

Dear Community Members,

I’m thrilled to invite you to our annual Stow Summer Sunset Blast this weekend at Silver Springs Park! Join us for a fantastic end-of-summer celebration on Saturday, August 31st, and Sunday, September 1st, from 5 to 10 PM. We’ve got two fun-filled days planned for everyone!

Saturday will kick off with awesome vendors, tasty food trucks, craft beer from Missing Mountain Brewery, axe throwing, and so much more! Don’t miss the High Adventure Zone Area—just a $5 wristband gets you access to a petting zoo, inflatable fun for the kids, and a Rock Wall. And make sure to catch the hip-hop dance team at 6:30 PM, followed by E5C4P3, a Journey tribute band, who will have us all singing along from 7 to 10 PM.

Then on Sunday, the excitement continues with more vendors, food trucks, and craft beer, plus a fitness session led by Cleveland Clinic LifeStyles Stow. Get ready to dance the night away with Old Skool Cleveland, a fantastic local band playing your favorite 80s and 90s hits from 6 to 10 PM! The High Adventure Zone ($5 wrsitband) will be open from 5 to 9 PM, capped off with a dazzling fireworks show you won't want to miss!

Don't forget to bring some cash to indulge in delicious festival fare from a variety of food trucks, including Chick-fil-A, Dr. Hibachi, Southern Comfort Kitchen, Stix, and The Dreamsicle Ice Cream Truck. Trust me, you won’t want to miss out!

A huge shout out to our amazing sponsors—thank you for your incredible support! For more details about the event and our sponsors, check out stowohio.org/593/Summer-Sunset-Blast.

I can’t wait to see all your smiling faces as we make some unforgettable memories together. Let’s enjoy a fantastic weekend of music, fun, and community spirit. Thank you for being part of what makes Stow such a wonderful place to live and celebrate!

See you there!

SEPTEMBER: Install a Rain Garden

Rain gardens collect and filter rainwater that runs off impervious surfaces like rooftops and driveways. Impervious surfaces lead to increases in runoff and often result in increased flooding. As water travels over impervious surfaces it also picks up pollutants. Polluted stormwater runoff enters our rivers and lakes and is one of the leading threats to water quality. Installing a rain garden is one way you can manage rain water in your own yard!
