Outdoor Service and Picnic
On Sunday, June 7, we will celebrate a wonderful outdoor service (weather permitting) at 9:30 am followed by a great afternoon of food and fellowship. The church will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers. You can sign up online to contribute to the meal and RSVP, go to StPaulsLionville.org/events. If your family likes to play outdoor games, bring your favorite one along. This is always such a delightful event that it would be a great opportunity to invite a friend, neighbor or family member to worship that day! Please note that for those who regularly watch our livestream, due to the complications of offering the livestream outdoors, only the pre-recorded sermon will be offered that morning.

Organist/Accompanist or Assistant Music Director Position
Our team is ready to start receiving application materials for this staff position. You'll notice we are advertising in two different ways. We remain committed to our use of the organ in traditional worship and if needed, will be restructuring the Music Director position to ensure continuity in this area. We will ultimately select the new person and role that best align with the lead applicant's specific skills and heart to ensure the best fit for our music ministry. If you are interested or know someone who might be a good candidate, please check out StPaulsLionville.org/careers to learn more.

Help Lead Worship Behind the Scenes!
St. Paul’s is looking for volunteers to join our Worship Tech Team to help us "worship in spirit and truth." By joining this team, you’ll provide needed support for the worship team, allowing our audio technicians to focus their expertise on mastering the sound while you handle the visuals. You’ll play a vital role by timing slide transitions to stay just ahead of the congregation, ensuring everyone can sing and speak along confidently.
- The Perks: Enjoy Dave’s great company and reserved balcony seating with the best view in the house while you serve!
- The Role: Advance slides in OBS and assist with technical needs during worship.
- The Commitment: Serve once every 4–6 weeks. An annual commitment is preferred for continuity.
- Requirements: Attention to detail, basic tech skills, and a heart for our mission.
- Training: Full support provided by our Director of Music and Worship Technician.

Musical Notes From Lindsay
May 31st: Pentecost and Confirmation!
The songs today are inspired by our Gospel reading, John 7: 37-39, where Jesus says: “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
Gathering Song: ELW 423 Shall We Gather At the River
The text of this Robert Lowry hymn speaks perfectly to the message of finding living water in Christ. The march-like rhythm creates a feeling of steadiness and forward motion, as the lyrics describe the provision of grace received at the river that flows by the throne of God. The march-like quality of Lowry's hymns is considered iconic of his composing style. We will play this song as prelude to help familiarize the congregation with the tune.
Gospel Acclamation: WOV 612 Halle, Halle, Hallelujah
If you prefer, feel free to locate a copy of With One Voice and follow along there! Make sure to keep it handy for the communion songs...
Song of the Day: Waterlife
This song was part of my first service at St. Paul's, and I immediately found myself drawn in by it's rhythmic urgency. I also enjoy how the melody in the verses mimics the downward flow of water. The water imagery in the text makes it a fitting selection for our song of the day.
Choral Anthem: Canon for Pentecost
The Kingdom Choir's final anthem of the season! I have so enjoyed getting to know all of the singers, and I am already excitedly imagining what the future holds after summer. Looking forward to summer pick-up choir!
Communion Music:
Our first communion song can also be found in With One Voice:
WOV 693 Baptized in Water (our recent baptism service also included this hymn)
Sending Song: Go In Peace
I have heard this is another favorite at St. Paul's--I look forward to sending the confirmation class into the world with the words of this selection:
Go in peace and serve the Lord
Let your life shine out in the world
Christ is calling you to follow Him
Make your lives a living sacrifice
