Program Highlights

Artwork Dedication

Name plaques were installed at Kaopisa this March to celebrate the Cari Vujovich Endowment for the Arts and the artwork it helps bring to life.

This endowment was made possible through a generous $50,000 challenge grant from Duane Burnham, a 1959 SSP graduate. The fund continues to provide meaningful support of art initiatives for students.

Young Authors Conference

This year 64 - 4th and 5th grade students attended a one-day field trip that took place at Bethel University. The students spent the day learning from, and writing with professional Minnesota authors. They left with new strategies, ideas, and skills to become stronger writers.

Teacher, Mr. Knaus said "the role models and the workshops offered during the conference are invaluable parts of cultivating a writer’s life for our students."

Last month we had a visit from the River Heights Chamber Ambassadors. Lisa Holman from MY Credit Union and Jon Smale from Heartland Credit Union came to the Foundation for a tour, to learn about what we do, and provide information on how the Chamber could support our work! Thanks for coming!
