We are seeking a self-motivated Project Manager (preferably PE with at least 2 years of experience or EI with the ability to be licensed soon) with potential growth towards department director and firm ownership. We are seeking an individual with strong work ethic and an ability to motivate themselves as well as coworkers towards meeting project deadlines. The candidate must display problem solving skills while always looking out for the clients’ best interest.
Description of Work:
- Perform the design, engineering and CAD drafting services related to land development and municipal projects in the civil engineering field.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete design work using AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience a plus)
- Assists with construction observations, reporting and monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents
- Assists in the preparation of cost estimates, engineering calculations and drawings, maps, and other related graphics as required to support project
- Assists in permit submittal process
- Assists in the review of design documents and reports
Qualifications:
- Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering fundamentals and general civil engineering design and construction practices
- Ability to read and understand construction engineering plans and drawings
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and check the quality of own work
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to use sound judgment, and manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details
