Catch the Final Days of Cielo Tejido | | |
Experience Cielo Tejido: A Woven Sky, the vibrant overhead installation on Giralda Plaza, on display through July 31. The installation features colorful, handwoven textiles crafted by women artisans from Etzatlán, Mexico. Presented by the city and Ciudad Maderas in partnership with the Consulate of Mexico.
While exploring nearby restaurants or shops, be sure to look up and enjoy the final days of this one-of-a-kind installation whose U.S. premier was in the City Beautiful.
The second installation, Giralda in Bloom: A Floral Canopy, will debut in August, featuring hundreds of floral-patterned umbrellas suspended overhead. Both installations build on the success of previous activations, creating a visually impactful atmosphere throughout the summer and early fall to encourage visitors to visit downtown Coral Gables.

Municipal vs.
Private Parking
| |
Not all parking facilities in Coral Gables are operated by the city. Municipal parking is identified by city signage displayed at the entrances and throughout the property.
Coral Gables municipal garages charge $1 per 24 minutes, or any part thereof, with a daily maximum of $18. On-street parking costs up to $3.50 per hour, while city-owned parking lots charge up to $4 per hour. On-street metered parking is enforced daily from 9 a.m. to midnight. Drivers using municipal lots should follow the payment and enforcement information posted at each location.
Private parking lots and garages establish their own rates and policies. Drivers should carefully review all posted signs because city parking rates, exemptions and procedures do not apply. This includes drivers displaying a disabled parking permit, who may still be required to pay at a private facility.
When parking in a city garage with a disabled parking permit, the permit holder must be in the vehicle and should be prepared to present the permit and identification when exiting. Disabled parking permits may be used only when the person to whom they were issued is in the vehicle.

The City of Coral Gables is aware of scams involving fraudulent QR codes placed on signs or meters, directing drivers to fake websites designed to steal personal or financial information.
Please note that the City of Coral Gables does not use QR codes for parking payments. Parking can be paid for at a meter (where available) or through the official PayByPhone or ParkMobile mobile applications.
Always verify that you are using the correct method before making a payment and never scan an unknown QR code.
If you encounter a suspicious QR code, please report it to the Coral Gables Parking Department at 305-460-5540 or by emailing parking@coralgables.com.

| | Rainy Season Fertilizer Reminder | |
The use of fertilizer is prohibited during the rainy season, which remains in effect through Oct. 31. Fertilizer runoff is one of the top contributors to fish kills in Biscayne Bay, along with rising temperatures and low oxygen levels.
To reduce runoff pollution, eliminate the use of fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides. Use organic alternatives and plant native species whenever possible. Native plants are naturally adapted to our climate and require less water and fertilizer. Avoid overwatering your lawn and use mulch instead of herbicides to help control weeds. Sweep up debris and avoid hosing down your driveway.

As part of its commitment to being a smart city, Coral Gables offers free public Wi-Fi at several locations, including Salvadore Park, Lamar Louise Curry Park, Kerdyk Family Park and other public spaces throughout the city such as Miracle Mile and Giralda Plaza. Expanding access to wireless connectivity enhances the experience for residents and visitors by making it easier to access information, navigate local attractions and enjoy city services. Free public Wi-Fi is one of the many ways Coral Gables continues to invest in innovative technology that supports a connected, accessible community.
