It's raining outside but the sun is shining bright for Shorty. You may remember that she was found literally starving to death in an abandoned house in Georgia. Shorty was probably just days away from her last breath at an advanced age of 10yrs. When our rescue partners in Georgia reached out, we extended a life saving hand. With a lot of TLC, Shorty began to gain weight and today she went home with a most loving couple. Some people would say, "Why adopt a 10 yr. old dog? some fabulous people came along and said, "Because we are going to give her the best years of her life.
Without your help, Kent Animal Shelter could not have saved Shorty and any of the many hundreds of animals that have come to the shelter this year for a second chance. Every 10 days, more rescue transports arrive at the Kent Animal Shelter with abandoned, abused and homeless animals.
Make this one day, Dec. 1st, 'Giving Tuesday', a day that will change the future of animals in crisis situations.
Please consider a gift on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 1st, that will Save a Life. Help others like Shorty to get that second chance and not get short changed.
