Hello Valley View Families,

Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed your winter break and were able to connect with friends and/or family. It is exciting to think about what's ahead in 2026 and the second half of the school year.

Our theme this month will be Give and Get Respect. Our messaging via morning announcements and our classroom community meetings will be around showing respect to ourselves, classmates, staff, adults at home, school, and community as we continue to build a strong, happy school community here at Valley View. We know it is not just about following the rules, but about treating people the way you would like to be treated. When we all practice giving and getting respect, our classrooms and school become a place where everyone feels safe, heard, and ready to learn.

This week, North Middle School Band and Orchestra will be visiting our 5th graders to show them all that Band and Orchestra have to offer, the instruments, etc. We look forward to welcoming them on Friday morning.

Next week, we will begin our annual PTO event, Cold Cash for College, so that we may award some scholarships for our MFHS graduating seniors. Save your coins!

We are excited for a great start to 2026! It's going to be a great week! Go Valiant Knights!
