June 15, 2021
Dear Chamber & Community Members,
Today is the day that the State of California is officially lifting restrictions and opening up again. Capacity and social-distancing restrictions are lifted for most businesses and activities per the California Department of Public Health's Beyond the Blueprint framework. Along with this reopening, the State has revised the face covering requirements to align with the current CDC guidance. As part of these guidelines, it is up to the individual businesses if they will continue to require masks for all patrons.
These new guidelines only exist for consumers and attendees at this time. Employers are still required to follow Cal/OSHA COVID-19 Standards which state that ALL employees, regardless of vaccination status, must wear proper face coverings and adhere to social distancing in the workplace. On Thursday, June 17, the Cal/OSHA board will vote to potentially align more with the State's loosening restrictions.
As these guidelines continue to change and adapt to the current climate, we will keep all of you updated with the best resources possible. If you have any questions regarding what this reopening means for you, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you,
|

Local Drought Emergency: New Water Conservation Policies In Place
Updated June 8, 2021
|
|
|
Due to the exceptional drought and significant loss of water rights, Stage 3, effective immediately, seeks a 40% reduction in water use Citywide with additional rules and residential water budgets.
What you need to know:
- Residents are assigned a water budget of 3 hundred cubic feet per person per month. This is equivalent to 2244 gallons per person per month or 74 gallons per person per day.
- Irrigation of any kind – drip or sprinklers – is prohibited for all water customers as of June 8, 2021.
- Hand-watering is allowed so long as it’s within the residential water budget.
- Planting of new landscaping is prohibited.
- Commercial and Industrial customers must meet a 40% reduction or demonstrate all necessary conservation steps have been implemented.
- Power Washing and hosing of hardscapes is prohibited.
We understand these are substantial changes that come with a lot of questions and concerns. Please join the City tomorrow, June 16 from 6-7pm (moved from Jun 10) for a drought response town hall to discuss our water supply projections, water use data, and conservation rules.
